W.D. WATSON. LONDON. violin bow, tortoise shell, gold coronets, octagonal stick 65.7 g| Metzler Violins
This uncirculated violin bow, made by William Watson, was made circa 1972. The beautiful polished tortoise-shell frog is mounted with Watson's signature gold coronets (crowns), gold fittings, faux whale-bone grip and beautiful octagonal Pernambuco stick. This is a true collector's bow, and even still has the original hair. A new rehair is offered with the sale, but some collectors may wish to have the bow left in the absolute original condition with original hair. The weight is 65.7 grams. Because this bow has components made from tortoise-shell, this bow cannot be carried or shipped outside of the United States. The purchaser of this bow should never travel internationally with this bow for fear of confiscation at any number of customs checkpoints. hillcollection
