In 1999, Cheryl started studying under the late Master Violinmaker, Albert C. Muller. She took over the Sacramento, CA violin shop in 2006.

Along with her dad, Melvin, Cheryl moved the shop to her new location in Richmond, KY.
“My goal is to help every instrument come alive through design and hand picked wood. It takes attention to detail. Each piece of wood that I choose to build my instruments must have the qualities I am looking for (and listen for) in order to build the finest sounding instruments. As a violinist, I have a sense for the feel, tone and vibrance of a great violin and that is what I strive to create in all of my hand-made instruments.” - Cheryl Macomber
