Amarilli 4/4 violin with free case, bow, rosin & polish cloth | Metzler Violins
Let Amarilli be your first violin!
Even if you are just getting started (ESPECIALLY if you're just getting started!), your violin should be comfortable and easy to play. Every Amarilli we sell passes through our workshop, where we check bridge and nut height. These heights determine string height, and string height determines how comfortable the strings feel.
We are picky about the strings we use, so Amarillis are set up with Thomastik Infeld strings, which sound great and are long-lasting. The violin itself is made with maple back and sides, spruce top, and ebony fittings. It comes with a brazilwood and ebony bow, a shaped student case, rosin, and a polish cloth. The sound is warm, pleasant and inviting. This violin offers everything you need to start, selected by people who have been doing this since 1979.
At $350, the Amarilli is the most accessible violin we carry. It is not the most accessible violin on the market — you can find cheaper online. But those instruments are typically sold unset-up, and setup matters more than almost anything else for a beginning player. A poorly adjusted violin is harder to play, harder to tune, and harder to sound good on. Get started with a violin that supports you!
